re: ladybug letters

Let me explain- loveladybugletters is a nod to my nana, who gave me the nickname “Ladybug” when I was very young. I have always been so moved and inspired by her, especially as I learn more about what it means to be a woman in this world. It feels as though I have walked through the world fettered; When I have been silent about various moving parts of my life, writing has always been an outlet, but beyond that, an anchor.

At times, it feels like the only constant in my life. Whether it is my own, or someone else’s.

Its fragility remains. I would like to honor that— past and future versions of myself by sharing with/ alongside others.
